The Rainbow Care Group
Privacy Policy
Last updated: October 2026
Your privacy matters to us — especially when the information you share touches on a family member's care. This notice explains, in plain English, what we collect through this website, why, and what happens to it.
Who we are
This website is operated by Crompton Care Ltd (known as The Rainbow Care Group), a specialist dementia day care provider with clubs across Cheshire, England and Wales. We are the "controller" of the personal data collected through this website, which means we decide how and why it is used.
If you have any questions about this notice, or about how we handle your information, you can reach us at manchestersouth@therainbowcaregroup.com or on 0161 564 3723.
What we collect
Enquiry and booking forms. When you enquire about a taster day, request a callback, ask for our information pack or book a family workshop, we collect the details you give us — typically your name, email address, phone number, postcode, the venue you're interested in, your preferred day or time, and anything you choose to tell us in the message box. Some families share information about a relative's health or care needs; we understand that is sensitive personal information and we treat it accordingly.
Website usage. We use Google Analytics and Google Ads to understand how the site is used — which pages are visited, roughly how long people spend on them, and which forms are started or completed. This is aggregated, cookie-based information and it does not include the names or contact details of people who submit enquiries.
Chat widget. The WhatsApp chat button on our site is provided by a third-party messaging service. If you contact us through it, the messages are stored by that provider so we can reply to you.
Why we use it
We use your enquiry details to respond to you — to book a taster day, send information, answer your questions or call you back. This is based on your consent when you submit a form, and our legitimate interest in running a responsive care service. Because the details can relate to a relative's care needs, only relevant staff see them.
We use website analytics to keep the site useful and to measure whether our advertising works. You can withdraw consent for cookies at any time by clearing them in your browser (see "Cookies" below).
We do not sell your information, and we do not use it for any purpose we haven't described here.
Who sees it and where it goes
Your enquiry is stored in this website's database and emailed to the relevant staff member so it can be followed up. We use trusted service providers to make this happen:
- Hosting and the enquiry database — where form submissions are stored.
- Our email service — which sends your enquiry to our staff.
- Google (Analytics & Ads) — for anonymised website and advertising statistics.
- Our messaging provider — for the WhatsApp chat button.
Some of these providers store data outside the UK; where they do, standard data-protection agreements are in place. We may also disclose information if the law requires it.
How long we keep it
Enquiry details are kept only for as long as we need them to respond to you and to look after families who use our clubs — typically up to two years, or longer where a family becomes a member and our care records apply. Analytics data is kept by Google according to its standard retention settings.
Cookies
Cookies are small files placed on your device. We use two categories on this site: analytics cookies (Google Analytics) and advertising cookies (Google Ads, which help measure whether visits come from our campaigns). Neither is essential to view the site.
You can accept or refuse cookies through your browser settings at any time — refusing them won't affect how the site works for you. Google also offers its own opt-out tool for Analytics at tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout.
Your rights
You have the right to:
- ask for a copy of the information we hold about you;
- ask us to correct anything that is wrong;
- ask us to delete your details;
- object to us using your information for marketing; and
- complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk) if you're unhappy with how we've handled your data.
Just contact us using the details at the top of this notice, and we'll help.
